Why can't they just make a regular Spider-Man game?

Ok, like I just heard yesterday that they are making a new Spider-Man game "Spider-Man Edge of Time" to be exact. My question is, why can't they just make a regular Spider-Man game? You know like just a regular day or week or w/e in Spider-Man's life with him just swinging around and one of his villains does some evil act. Like I know what your thinking that that's what these games are, but what i mean is why can't it be a little more idk realistic? Like Spider-Man Web of Shadows for instance had to deal with Venom taking control of NYC with the symbiots (I am aware that there was a comic book where the symbiots did take of NYC) but like why does it have to be so like earth shattering? Last years game "Spider-Man Shattered Dimensions" had to deal with four different's Spider-Men across space and time dealing with their villains and pieces of this special tablet which boosted their enemies powers and Mysterio from earth 616 being the MAIN villain. And now Spider-Man Edge of Time is here which deals with Amazing SM and Sm of 2099, but like why can't their just be a regular Spider-Man game where he has to deal w/ the sinister 6 or something and I mean Amazing SM not Ultimate.These last two games were alright, but idk not all that great, I think I had more fun with the old PlayStation ones then them, hopefully this new one is great and doesn't get too boring.
